A former priest and Seton Catholic Central teacher is expected to be sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.

65 year old Robert Ours pleaded guilty in Onondaga County Court to six counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Ours left Seton in 2011 for personal reasons.

The Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, which had cooperated in the investigation, said the resignation was not related to the Protection of Children and Young People Charter.

Ours has been living at the Tommy Coyne Residence for Priests in Syracuse.

In addition to the expected sentence of 10 years probation, the former priest is expected to be ordered to register with New York State as a sex offender.

In addition to teaching a Seton Catholic Central, Ours had been an associate pastor at parishes in the Broome County area.
