Former Binghamton Mets and Binghamton University women's basketball play-by-play broadcaster Robert Ford is enjoying life in Major League Baseball as the radio "Voice" of the Houston Astros.  Ford called the action of Binghamton Mets' baseball from 2006-08 and also called BU women's basketball during that time frame on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

Ford is a 2001 Syracuse University graduate. He spent seven seasons calling Minor League Baseball including his three-year stint in Binghamton.  From 2009 - 2012 he was the host of the Kansas City Royals Pre-and Post-Game shows on their radio network.

He joined the Astros as their radio play-by-play voice in 2013 and has held that post ever since.  He and broadcast partner Steve Sparks call the action of Houston Astros home and away games including the current Astros' playoff series against the New York Yankees.
