A Binghamton man is in custody, accused of being a fugitive from justice from the State of Florida where he was wanted on sex offense allegations.  Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 41 year old Clayton Hood was accused of sexual battery and lewd molestation in Polk County, Florida.

Deputies say members of the Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division and the  United States Marshals fugitive Task Force, acting on a tip, found Hood hiding in a house on Way Street in the City of Binghamton.  He was taken into custody without incident.

Locally, Hood is charged as a fugitive from justice.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
