A mobile home in Tioga County is a total loss after fire broke out May 29.

A resident of the trailer located at the Post Trailer Park in Apalachin was able to get out safely.

In addition to the home, a vehicle was also destroyed.

Firefighters were called to the home at around 11 p.m. and were on the scene for about three hours.

The cause is under investigation but fire officials say the home’s owner told them she had left candles burning.

Campville firefighters assisted the Apalachin Fire Department at the scene.
