Several felony charges have been filed after a vehicle theft in the town of Union.

Authorities say they believe an Endwell man used credit cards found in the vehicle to buy gas and cell phones.

According to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Case Valashinas of Watson Boulevard was accused of stealing a vehicle from the parking lot of the Sports Dome on Airport Road.

Valashinas was taken into custody by Cortland city police after he was found in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Valashinas was charged with four counts of grand larceny for the theft of the credit cards. He was charged with another grand larceny count in connection with the vehicle theft. He’s also been charged with forgery and possession of stolen property.

Valashinas was arraigned in Fenton town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
