State police have arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing incident in an Endwell neighborhood.

Authorities say 49-year-old John Mills has been charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

Investigators say Mills is accused of attacking a 25-year-old man outside his home on North Willis Avenue.

The incident was reported in a 911 call at 7:41 p.m. October 12.

Police say Mills knew the man who was stabbed. They say a folding pocket knife was used to stab the other man in the torso.

The injured man was being treated at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

Mills was arraigned in Union town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
