Authorities say Jeremy Hamilton of Endicott was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the Vestal police station. He went there after being advised detectives wanted to speak with him.

Hamilton has been charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony.

Investigators say the incidents are alleged to have involved a nine-year-old girl while Hamilton was living in Vestal.

Hamilton was arraigned in Vestal town court and sent to Broome County Jail.

Vestal police detectives were assisted in the investigation by the Tioga County Department of Social Services.
