A Tompkins County man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle collision in the town of Cortlandville.

Authorities say 25-year-old Jarrod Nickerson of Lansing was arrested after the crash at the intersection of State Route 13 and Starr Road.

According to state police, Nickerson was suspected of failing to stop at a red light on Starr Road and then colliding with a vehicle on Route 13.

Troopers say Nickerson refused to submit to a breath test.

Police say Nickerson was issued "numerous tickets" as a result of the crash. He was ordered to appear in Cortlandville town court on July 30.
