Deposit Man Pleads Guilty to Child Sexual Abuse

A Deposit man will be sentenced in August after admitting he had sexual contact with two girls under the age of 13.

36 year old Jeremy Barrett May 6 pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual conduct against a child.  He was also charged with one count of criminal sexual act.

In addition to the contact with the two children from the spring of 2009 through September of 2012, Barrett also admitted he had forcible oral sexual contact with a third girl in August of 2012.

Barrett is expected to be sentenced August 1 in Broome County Court to 15 years in prison with 15 years post-release supervision.
