Most new employees find their first day on the job a bit harrowing and mainly a learning experience.

One of the newest members of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, however, had a very good day on the job, just one day after graduating Narcotics Detection School.  Ozzy uncovered several glassine envelopes containing heroin in car that had been stopped on Townsend Street in the Village of Walton.

Ozzy is a police dog in the band-new Delaware County Sheriff's K9 Unit.

Deputies say they saw marijuana in the center console of the stopped vehicle and called in Ozzy.

24 year old Anthony Palladino and 22 year old Troy Terney , both of Walton, and 21 year old Melissa Dacey are charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

The three have been ordered to appear in Village of Walton Court at a later date.
