New York State police say a Delaware County man was sent to jail following a domestic dispute in a residence in the town of Franklin.

Authorities say 43-year-old James Henderson of Franklin was charged with unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief and harassment. He also faces a count of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

Police received a report of a dispute at a home on Rod and Gun Club Road.

Investigators say Henderson was accused of grabbing a woman by the neck and preventing her from using a phone to call for assistance. He also allegedly would not allow her to leave.

Henderson was arraigned in Davenport town court. He was remanded to Delaware County Jail on $2,500 bail. He's scheduled to appear in Franklin town court on May 28.
