Defending Dick’s Open Champion Wins Again

The 2017 Dick's Sporting Goods Open Champion has won again.  Scott McCarron won the American Family Insurance Championship in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend by one stroke over Jerry Kelly.  McCarron shot an 8-under 64 on Sunday to edge Kelly by a single shot.  The event is also on the PGA Tour Champions schedule.

It took birdies on Sunday on the 14th, 15th and 16th holes and pars on number 17 and 18 to give McCarron the victory.  It is McCarron's first victory this season and his seventh win on the PGA Tour Champions circuit.

McCarron was back at En Joie last Monday to promote this year's Dick's Sporting Goods Open.  He reflected on his birdie putt on number 18 that gave him a one stroke victory over Kevin Sutherland last year.  Both expect to be back to compete in the 2018 Dick's Sporting Goods Open coming up August 17-19.
