Decorated Broome County Musician Passes Away

A well-known local musician is being mourned.  Doctor Jonathan Biggers passed away unexpectedly September 27^th at his Vestal home.

Doctor Biggers was an Associate Professor of Music and Edwin Link Endowed Professor in Organ and Harpsicord at Binghamton University.

He was the recipient of numerous international awards and was a soloist with several orchestras in the United States and Canada.

According to the paid obituary, a memorial service will be held Monday, October 10 at the United Presbyterian Church on Chenango Street, starting with special music at 12:15 p.m.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at the BC Humane Society in Binghamton or the charity of one's choice.
