The Danielle House on Riverside Drive in Binghamton has been providing a safe and supportive place for families to stay while loved ones are in local hospitals.

Speaking on the February 4 edition of the weekly local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up, Danielle House founder, Diane Stento talks about celebrating fifteen years, the experiences of staff and families at the house and the support of medical personnel in providing referrals.

Diane also shares the story of her daughter, Danielle, who suffered traumatic brain injury when she was hit by a drunk driving while walking in Buffalo during her senior year in college.

Diane says she will never forget the generosity of a Buffalo University professor who opened his family's home to the Stentos so they could stay near their daughter.

Southern Tier Close Up is heard Saturdays at 12:10 p.m. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
