The Altoona Curve took a 1-0 lead in the third inning and never looked back as they defeated the Binghamton Mets last night at NYSEG Stadium by a final score of 5-2.  Tyler Pill gave up three runs in six innings of work and took the loss to fall to 3-8.  Alex McRae got the win...his first in Double-A.

With last night's loss the B-Mets drop to 1-7 in their last eight games. The second game of the three-game series is set for tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Rainy Lara is the scheduled B-Mets starter.  He will be opposed by Clay Holmes for Altoona.
