Conklin Man Dies In Car Crash

A 28-year-old Conklin man died after the car he was driving struck a tree.

Authorities say Matthew Desanctis of Ross Hill Road lost control of a 2001 Honda Civic early Sunday.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened on Conklin Forks Road.

Investigators say the car crossed over the double yellow lines on the roadway and slammed into the tree.

Desantis was pronounced dead at the scene.
