The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team and the American Cancer Society join forces to help in the fight against cancer.

Coaches vs Cancer is a nationwide program between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.  Their efforts help in raising funds, increasing awareness and stress the importance of cancer screenings.

Binghamton head coach Tommy Dempsey has pledged five dollars for every point scored by the Bearcats January 27 against the Retrievers.  The BU coaches wore sneakers and other apparel to show their support for the American Cancer Society.

The program began in 1993 and since then has raised over $25 million to benefit the Society's mission.  Information on Coaches vs Cancer is available at: coachesvscancer.org or by calling 1-800-227-2345.
