U.S. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney is apparently trying to do a little good as a result of the short government shutdown.

Officials with the Central New York Veterans’ Center say they are getting $300 from the first day of the shut-down.  That amount was actually $256 which the Republican Congresswoman rounded up to $300.

The New Horizon UHS addiction treatment program in Binghamton is also getting a donation.  That program is to get money tied to the second day of the shut down.

The funds reportedly come from Tenney’s pay while the government was shuttered.
