Kathy Whyte photo

A Cincinnatus woman, who apparently was having an argument with her husband while they were driving in a pickup truck with four children, is dead after jumping from the moving vehicle on West Main Street in Cortland shortly after 9:30 a.m. May 29.

Cortland Police say 38 year old Jupina Rice was run over as her husband, 29 year old Joshua Rice, swerved when she lept from the vehicle.

Police say the man immediately stopped and tried to give assistance to his wife.

She was pronounced dead at Cortland Regional Medical Center.

The investigation is continuing.
