The Bandera family's traditional free Christmas dinner will continue in Binghamton this year and organizers are planning a similar feast in Endicott.

Bill Bandera says his parents started the dinner in 1989, feeding 69 people. Since then, the event has grown to the point where nearly 4,000 people have been served.

The dinner will still be offered at the American Legion Post 80 at 76 Main Street in Binghamton.

Speaking on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, Bandera said the Boys and Girls Club in Endicott will be the site of a second dinner on Christmas Day.

Bandera said people who'd like to volunteer to help in the dinner events may call 607.232.7098.
