The Annual CHOW Hunger Walk was held September 20 on campus at Binghamton University.  Hundreds of walkers of all ages took part in CHOW's major fund-raising event.  The entire walk was held at Binghamton University and raised money from contributions and pledges to help CHOW fight hunger.  Participants were also urged to bring non-perishable food items to help needy families in our area.

Many church groups participated along with families and teams from various organizations.  CHOW Director Mike Leahey says it is too soon to know the total amount of money raised this year but says it appears the turnout surpassed last year's participants.

Money raised will be used by CHOW to purchase food in bulk and thus get a better rate which in turn enables CHOW tp buy more food.

Dozens of students from Binghamton University donated their time to help with traffic control and safety, clean-up and information.  Sodexo Foods provided a lunch and refreshments for the walkers and volunteers following the walk.
