A Town of Plymouth man is accused of trespassing on posted property on Bates Wilson Road, shooting a deer, removing its head and leaving the rest of the body.

New York State Environmental Conservation Police and Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say 34 year old David Button Junior was seen on a trail camera trespassing and possessing a rifle on the posted property.

Officials found Button, the gun and the deer head at his home. Authorities say they also discovered Button is a convicted felony and not allowed to possess a firearm.  Button was charged with trespassing on posted property, hunting without a license, hunting deer with rim-fire ammunition, taking deer by means not specified and unlawfully killing protected wildlife.
