Chenango County Children and Dogs Found Living in Filth

Six chldren and several dogs are in protective care after Chenango County Sheriff's Deputies say they found them living in unsuitable and unsanitary conditions.

39 year old Norman Hebert, 37 year old Barbara Hebert, 40 year old Norman Fuller and 40 year old Stacy Cox, all of Norwich, are charged with endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty to animals following an investigation at the Valley View Trailer Park in North Norwich.

Officials say the trailer where the dogs were kept and the children, ages 9 to 17, lived has been condemned.

The children were relocated with other family members. The dogs are being cared for by Every Dog's Dream animal rescue.

The four adults in the case are each charged with six counts of child endangerment in addition to the animal cruelty charges.
