Chenango County Caregiver Accused of Stealing From Client

New York State Police are accusing a Chenango County woman of taking advantage of her disabled client. 

Authorities say Penny Nober of Guilford is charged with eight counts of forgery and one count of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or disabled person. 

Troopers say the 49 year old caregiver allegedly stole checks from a Guilford woman and forged them, depleting the woman’s bank account.

Nober was released on her own recognizance following her arraignment in Town of Guilford Court.
