Officials are looking into the cause of a late afternoon fire in the Town of Maine that heavily damaged a home March 21.

No serious injuries are reported and authorities say a woman and her two dogs were able to make it out of the house on Shadowbrook Drive.

The fire was reported shortly before 4:30 and appears to have been concentrated mainly in the kitchen area.

Witnesses said the back of the house appeared to be heavily damaged.

Firefighters from the Town of Maine, West Corners and Endicott responded to the scene.
