A Canton, Pennsylvania man is facing a felony charge in Broome County after Sheriff’s Deputies say he tried to fool officers with a fake driver’s license.

Jesse Stewart could be spending his 41st birthday in jail April 25 after officials say he was arrested April 20 in the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station on Old Front Street in the Town of Dickinson.

Officials say they believed Stewart was wanted on an outstanding warrant and questioned him.

He then reportedly presented the forged Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Computerized records helped to confirm Stewart’s real identity.

He is charged with felony possession of a forged instrument, misdemeanor false personation and a probation violation.

Stewart was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
