It all came down to the closing second and the Hartford Hawks were able to get a basket from Katelyn Skinner to give them a 41-39 victory over the Binghamton Bearcats in women's basketball February 11 at the Events Center in Vestal.  Hartford held a 28-19 lead over Binghamton at the half.  The Bearcats roared back outscoring Hartford 16-6 to take the lead 35-34 after three periods of play. With time winding down Jalay Knowles missed a jump shot but Skinner got the offensive rebound and scored to win the game.

Kim Albrecht led the Bearcats in scoring with 12 points.  Rebecca Carmody scored six points and had 10 rebounds for BU.  The Bearcats were looking for a season sweep of the Hawks.  The Bearcats defeated Hartford at the Chase Family Arena last month 53-47.

The game was the first of four consecutive home games for the Bearcats.  Binghamton will host the Vermont Catamounts Tuesday, February 16 (air at 6:45 p.m. on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
