Police say four people were involved in a smash-and-grab burglary at a Broome County convenience store.

One man has been charged and a teenager who was involved was apprehended but investigators are looking for two more suspects.

The break-in at the Manley's Mighty Mart store at 49 Downs Avenue in the town of Dickinson happened at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, a witness saw someone hurl a rock through a glass door. The witness provided descriptions of four people who carried off cigarettes and cigars from the business.

A deputy took a Binghamton man into custody not far from the store. Authorities say 25-year-old Carl Keys was in possession of tobacco items taken from the store. He was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.

A 14-year-old boy believed to have been involved in the break-in also was apprehended. He was released to a guardian without being charged.
