Coach Linda Cimino's Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team is picked to finish fourth in the Women's Basketball Preseason Poll released today (Thursday).  This is the highest the Bearcats have been picked since the 2011-12 season. The poll is conducted among the nine head coaches in the conference and no coach can vote for his or her own player. Binghamton is coming off a turnaround season last year that saw them finish in third place in the regular campaign and advance to the America East semi-final round before losing to Maine.

The Bearcats return 11 letterwinners and four of the five starters from last season.  Plus, standout Jasmine Sina returns after sitting out all of last season with a knee injury.  Preseason All-Conference selection Imani Watkins will team up with Sina to be a potent combination in the backcourt.  Binghamton opens play Sunday, October 30 at 2:00 PM by hosting the University of Rochester.  Airtime is 1:45 PM with Tim Heiman on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
