Broome River Cleanup Planned

The Broome County Environmental Management Council and Broome Tioga Stormwater Coalition are signing up volunteers for the 30^th Riverbank Cleanup on October 15 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Volunteers must preregister by October 6^th and the EMC will provide supplies and pick up the trash collected. The EMC will also help volunteers select a location to clean up. Registrations can be filed online at www.gobroomecounty.com/emc. Residents can also suggest waterways for clean up that are not on the current list.

Over the years, several tons of trash and debris has been collected from Broome County waterways.
