Broome Man Accused in Union Sex Case

A 70-year-old Endwell man was sent to Broome County jail after he was arrested in connection with an incident that allegedly happened in the town of Union.

Investigators with the Broome County Sheriff's Office say 70-year-old John Kalivoda was charged with criminal sexual act, a felony.

According to detectives, Kalivoda was accused of performing a sex act on a 43-year-old woman without her consent.

Kalivoda was arraigned in town of Union court. He was ordered held without bail.
