The Broome County Land Bank is getting more money to acquire run-down properties for redevelopment.

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the award of $20.9 million in new grants to land banks state-wide.

Broome is getting $650,870 dollars.

Broome County’s land bank was established in 2013 and is a nonprofit corporation.

Binghamton Mayor Richard David thanked the state Attorney General for the latest award and says the City will continue to be aggressive in securing blighted properties for demolition.
