Broome County Swearing-In Ceremony Held at The Forum Tuesday

Broome County Executive Debbie Preston and the Broome County Legislature participated in their official swearing-in ceremony today at the Broome County Forum in Binghamton.  Preston was joined by her family and received the oath of office from Judge Catherine Schaewe onstage at the Forum.

County Legislators joined Preston for the ceremony.  Preston will serve her first full-term after defeating Tarik Abdelazim in November.  She said one of the biggest issues facing Broome County and New York State is hydrofracking and which way legal issues involved with that matter pan out.

Legislative Majority Leader Ron Keibel and Minority Leader Dan D. Reynolds followed the County Executive in addressing the crowd on hand.
