Speaking on the November 30th edition of WNBF's weekly local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up, Broome County Office for Aging Caregiver Specialist, Judy Bobinski talks about how people who care for family, friends or neighbors can get support in dealing with stress.

Bobinski says the holiday season often puts even more stress on a challenging situation for caregivers but advice and support is available from the Office for Aging as well as family members, faith based organizations and other groups if a caregiver is willing to accept an offer to help.

All caregivers are invited to attend an education program featuring social worker, Suzanne Thrasher in December.

Dealing with Stress and Guilt as a Caregiver is being held at 1 p.m. December 4 at the Broome County Public Library Exhibit Room. The library is located at 185 Court Street, Binghamton.

More information on the program as well as other ways the Broome County Office for Aging can help caregivers can be obtained by calling Caregiver Services at (607) 778-2411.

Southern Tier Close Up airs Saturdays at 12:10 p.m. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
