Broome County Man Injured Crossing Rt. 12A

Broome County Sheriff’s officials are continuing to investigate a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the Town of Chenango on New Year’s Eve.

Authorities say 63 year old Musteata Teodor was critically injured when he tried to cross Route 12A at Matthews Drive at 6:45 p.m. against the crosswalk signal and was hit by the eastbound vehicle.

No tickets have been issued.

Officials say Route 12A from Route 12 to the Brass Lantern Tavern was closed for two hours.
