Pennsylvania State Police accuse a Tunkhannock man of failing to stop for a school bus that was picking up a child for school in Monroe Township in Bradford County.

Officials say the school bus was stopped on State Route 220 at 7:10 a.m. March 5 with lights flashing.

A pickup truck driven by 53 year old Thomas Milk of New Albany was stopped behind the bus when another pickup, driven by 28 year old Jacob Sick approached and failed to stop, hitting Milk’s vehicle from behind.

The impact caused Milk’s truck to hit the rear of the bus.  Four of the 14 students on the bus suffered minor injuries while another student was transported to the hospital.

None of the drivers was hurt.

State Police say charges are pending.
