Binghmamton Bearcats Hosted Caldwell Cougars

The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team hosted Caldwell University tonight at 7 PM at the Events Center.  The Bearcats and Cougars meet for the first time.  Caldwell is a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference playing at the Division II level.

Binghamton enters the December 8 game with a record of 1-8 following a home loss to Penn on Saturday.  The Cougars are 5-4.  Last time out they defeated Georgian Court 73-62 on Saturday.

The Bearcats were hoping for more offensive power from their America East Rookie of the Week, Dusan Perovic.  Perovic averaged 25 points per game last week for BU including a single game school record 34 points versus Boston University December 10.

The Cougars have four players averaging over 14 points per game.  Leading the way is senior Michael Balkovic with a 14.6 average. He is hitting 58 percent of his shots from the field.

The Bearcats Baseball Team was be recognized at halftime.  They won the America East Tournament last spring.
