Binghamton Using Compact Sweeper Downtown

A compact sweeper known as the “Green Machine” is being utilized to help maintain sidewalks in the downtown Binghamton business district.

The miniaturized unit can be seen many mornings sweeping sidewalks along Court Street and other downtown streets.

The sweeper is able to quietly maneuver through tight spaces in front of stores and office buildings.

Mayor Richard David has said one of his priorities is to keep the Center City area well-maintained.
