Binghamton University Hosting Movie Screening

A special advance screening of The Rewrite, a film written and directed by Binghamton University graduate Marc Lawrence, will be held on the Vestal campus.

The romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant and Marisa Tomei is set at Binghamton University. Although a few scenes were shot on the campus and elsewhere in Broome County, most of the production was done on Long Island.

The free screening of The Rewrite has been scheduled for February 8 at 3 p.m. It will take place at the Anderson Center's Osterhout Concert Theater. University officials say the event will be open to the public.

The film will open in limited theatrical release in the United States on February 13, when it also will be available via video-on-demand services.
