A search of the address in Downtown Binghamton shows the building is part of the block of buildings containing the now-closed Colonial and Dos Rios restaurants and bars. The Colonial is listed as 56-58 Court Street.

There are several apartments located above the former Colonial Restaurant.  The restaurant and the neighboring Dos Rios closed at the end of April following months of controversy involving allegations of the owners and others associated with the businesses being involved in sexual assault and drug crimes.  There have been criminal charges filed in that case.

There is no indication the May Burglary investigation has anything to do with previous troubles associated with the property.
