Firefighters from all around the City of Binghamton, along with city police personnel are on the scene of a large structure fire at 46 Park Street.

The blaze at the two family home on the West Side was reported at 5:45 a.m.

Streets around the scene have been blocked off and firefighters have been dousing surrounding structures with water to protect them from damage.

Reports from the scene indicate that the attack on the fire has been complicated by the makeup of the building with the number of rooms and several hollow walls.

Four people were transported to the hospital and officials say three people had to be rescued from the roof of the structure.
