Binghamton Police Detectives now say the report of a robbery at a Conklin Avenue used car dealership was made-up.

41 year old Harry Johnson, who is an employee at Joe Guardi Auto Sales, is charged with felony falsely reporting an incident and grand larceny.

Police say Johnson concocted a story about three men forcing their way into the business while he was opening the store and making off with money at gunpoint.

Johnson was sent to the Broome County Jail.

The investigation is still open and anyone with information is asked to contact Binghamton Police Detectives at (607) 772-7080.
