Binghamton Couple Accused of Having Stolen Metal

Two Binghamton residents are accused of possessing stolen metal and trying to sell it for scrap.

32 year old Stephen Parsons and 22 year old Ashley Wolfanger are accused of having a large amount of stolen scrap metal worth over $1,000.

Officials with the Broome County Sheriff's office say they arrested the pair as they were attempting to sell the stolen metal at a local scrap yard.

Both are charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property.  The couple was released following arraignment to await an appearance in Binghamton City Court.
