Binghamton Citizens Police Academy To Be Held

Another Binghamton Citizens Police Academy will be presented starting next month.

City officials say the classes will be offered on Wednesday evenings over a 10-week period. The first session is scheduled for March 26.

The program will highlight police department units. Participants will have an opportunity to go on a ride-along with a police officer.

Three new classes will be included in this spring's Citizens Police Academy. They are: sex offenders and how police monitor their activity; women in law enforcement; and the use of force standards for police and civilians.
