The Broome County Stop DWI Program is spearheading efforts to keep watch out for drunk and dangerous drivers during the Saint Patrick’s Parade festivities March 4.  Local law enforcement officials are sending out special DWI enforcement patrols March 4 & 5.

The parade in Downtown Binghamton travels from east to west along Court and Main Streets and starts at 1:30 p.m.  Prior to the step-off, a mass is being held at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church.

Also, Confluence running is holding the third annual Belmar Parade Day Mile run.

The race starts at the Broome County Public Library and ends at the Belmar Pub on Main Street.

Men’s and women’s elite heats start at 12:50 with the open run starting at 1 p.m.

Race packets can be picked up starting at 11 a.m. at the library.
