A vigil is planned for the three year anniversary of a deadly arson fire on Binghamton’s east side.

At 6 p-m Monday, family and friends will gather in front of the property at 20 Milford Street where 17 year old Jeffrey Aissa lost his life early in the morning on March 17, 2011.

Investigators ruled the fire arson and are still investigating three years after the blaze was discovered on the porch and quickly spread through the home.

Another fire had been reported at another home a few blocks away.

There had been seven people inside the house at the time. Officials said they believe Jeffrey became disoriented as he tried to escape, went the wrong way and became trapped.

Binghamton Police say they have followed several leads over the last three years and are still asking for any information.

Tips can be called in anonymously to Binghamton Police Detectives at (607) 772-7080.
