Binghamton 18-Year-Old Is Charged With Felony DWI

A Binghamton teen is accused of almost hitting a Broome County Sheriff’s Deputy head-on on Prospect Street in the City of Binghamton.

Authorities say the Deputy was westbound March 1 when he encountered the wrong-way vehicle driven by 18 year old Jose Martinez.

The teen was stopped and the Deputy determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Martinez is charged with felony DWI for a second offense, felony driving without a license and several traffic violations.
