Bible School Park Post Office Public Meeting Scheduled

Kathy Whyte/ WNBF News

A public meeting is being held August 7 at the Bible School Park Post Office on Riverside Drive in Johnson City to talk about the so-called POST plan, that could result in the closure of the post office at Davis College.  Other options include a reduction in service hours or relocation of the office.  The meeting starts at noon in the Post Office lobby.

In a news release from Davis College, officials say the Postal Service will not make a final decision regarding the branch until after the public meeting.

The college calls the Bible School Park Post Office a valuable resource for the school and the surrounding community.
