The Binghamton Bearcats could not hold a lead and visiting New Hampshire took home a 59-55 victory Saturday afternoon, February 6 at the Events Center.  The Bearcats held a 23-21 lead at the half and upped the edge to as many as nine points in the second half.  But the Wildcats kept chipping away at that lead and went ahead 51-50 on Jaleen Smith's drive through the paint with 3:05 left.  From that point on the Wildcats kept the lead and sealed the win on two made free throws by Tanner Leissner with just one second left in the contest.

Leissner finished with a game-high 21 points including eight of nine at the free throw line. Jaleen Smith also hit in double figures with 16 points. Marlon Beck led the Bearcats with 16 points.  Everson Davis finished with 12 points and Willie Rodriguez notched 10.  Rodriguez only played 19 minutes due to early foul trouble.  He picked up two fouls in the first 1:05 of the game and then a player control foul later in the first half.

Binghamton falls to 2-8 in the conference while New Hampshire moves to 6-3.  Binghamton remains home to host Albany Monday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. (air at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
