A northern Broome County resident faces two charges after detectives searched his vehicle and residence.

Authorities say 36-year-old Eric Gumaer of the Town of Barker was arrested Friday morning.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Gumaer has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Detectives executing a search warrant are said to have found methamphetamine and property that had been reported stolen from a Town of Nanticoke work site.

Gumaer was released on appearance tickets. He was ordered to appear in Barker town court at a later date.
